Donaldson R – 1905

BB Gazette Vol.14 No.2 – The Brigade Executive have awarded the Cross for Heroism to Private Robert Donaldson (aged 13), 2nd Perth Company, for rescuing a Boy from drowning in the river Tay.

Shields Daily News, 18th July 1905 – At its meeting in London yesterday, the Royal Humane Society made the following awards in cases for Scotland – Testimonial to Robert Donaldson, South Street, Perth, a plucky youngster of thirteen, for his rescue of a younger lad who got into danger while bathing in the Tay on June 8.
